In response to how we feel about this... is that aside from the obvious publicity boost we've got from this which is incredible we also feel proud. We feel proud that we have created a piece of political theatre that has sparked a dialogue even before it's opened. We're hoping that once people do see our show they'll realize that it's not just about the WBC and Fred Phelps... its also about the hypocrisy of the right wing American government in their reactions to these people. We haven't created this show to give them a voice or to spread their word, we've created it to raise awareness about who they are and what they believe and how the US government has reacted to them, to represent Fred Phelps on stage as the clown that he is, and to leave people with a hope that love will prevail over all this hate. We invite to you come see the show and talk to us afterwards, all reactions and input are welcome. The show runs Aug 7-17 thurs,fri,sat nights at 8pm and sunday afternoons at 3pm - at the cameron house (480 QueenWest) for more information visit summerworks.ca.
