The theme of this week’s picks is twists. Some of these shows work to put a spin on traditional tropes or reinvent them altogether, taking on everything from genres to gender. Others are more concerned with offering twists and turns in a narrative sense. Whatever your preference, these shows aren’t designed to twist unreasonable ticket prices from your wallets.
