Robin Henderson and Derrick Chua are thrilled to announce DANCE ANIMAL: TORONTO’s cast and Animals, premiering at the Toronto Fringe Festival, June 29 to July 10, 2016, Tarragon Theatre Mainspace. The opening performance is on Weds June 29 at 7:00 pm. Then Fri July 1 at 10:30 pm; Sun July 3 at 5:15 pm; Mon July 4 at 1:00 pm; Thurs July 7 at 11:00 pm; Fri July 8 at 9:30 pm; Sun July 10 at 12:00 noon. Media is welcome at all performances.

Dance Animal: Toronto is: Guy Bradford (Dance Crab), Robin Henderson (Dance Tiger), Kat Letwin (Dance Raccoon), Michael MacEachern (Dance Shetland Pony), Allison Price (Dance Gull), Kevin Vidal (Dance Octopus), Leighton Williams (Dance Peacock) and Carol Zoccoli (Dance Capybara). The understudies are Simon McCamus (Dance Jack-Rabbit) and Vanessa Salazar (Dance Alligator).

Dance Animal: Toronto sees a group of Toronto misfits from all walks of life, each being recruited by the mysterious Dance Tiger to join Dance Animal’s Toronto Tribe. As each Animal shares their story with the audience, we discover how their lives have changed for the better, now that they have met their ultimate Tribe, and realized their true calling: to express themselves through DANCE. Dance Animal: Toronto is a love-letter to, and reflection of a city, Toronto. It is inspired by present-day Toronto’s pop culture, music, sports, politics and more. Dance Animal: Toronto’s sketches are written by Canadian Comedy Award nominee Anders Yates. Monologues are written by the Animals and dramaturged by Robin Henderson. The show is directed and choreographed by Robin Henderson.

Tickets for all Fringe productions are $10, $12 in advance. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone (416-966-1062, business hours only), in-person from the festival box office located in the parking lot behind Honest Ed’s, (581 Bloor West), or — if any remain — from the venue box office (cash-only), starting one hour before showtime.
