Excerpt from press release:

ECHOES: A New Musical is pleased to announce the addition of new cast members JEFF MADDEN (Jersey Boys, Forever Plaid) and MARISA MCINTYRE (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables) to its upcoming Toronto Fringe production.

ECHOES is three stories of love, loss, and devastation. These stories are set during the American Civil War, World War I and World War II, respectively. Although separated by time and space, ECHOES shows how all three stories are forever connected. Madden will be performing the featured role of “The Postman” who weaves through and connects all three storylines, and McIntyre will be playing the role of “Fiancée” – the fiancée of a WWI French Captain struggling with her life on the home-front.

ECHOES will be performed at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church (427 Bloor Street West, Toronto). It opens on Wed June 29, and plays Thurs June 30, Sat July 2, Thurs July 7, Fri July 8, Sat July 9, all performances at 8:00pm. Media are welcome to attend all performances.

Other credits include: I Love You Because (Angelwalk Theatre – Dora nomination), Dani Girl (Talk is Free Theatre); and The Dinner (Toronto Fringe). Previously, Jeff acted in numerous plays and musicals at the Shaw Festival, where he was an ensemble member for eight seasons. Jeff has also appeared in TV’s Murdoch Mysteries and Mayday.

MARISA MCINTYRE is most recognized on TV for her appearance on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria (CBC), where she finished top four. A Dora Award nominated actress, Marisa has been performing most of her life. She became the youngest actress to take on the role of ‘Sophie’ in Mamma Mia (Mirvish), a part she played for 2-1/2 years.
