This week we have an eclectic mix of shows: some are outdoors, some inside; some are solo shows, some are ensemble pieces; some are classics and some are brand new! Embrace the richness of the Toronto theatre scene with these varied picks–all of which won’t cost you more than 25 dollars at the door!

Life Records. Written and performed by Rhiannon Archer, directed by Lara Johnson. This solo show from the 2015 Fringe Festival looks at the songs that make their ways in to our lives and become the soundtrack to our memories. Aug 19-21, Fri-Sun 9:30 pm. $10. Show Info.

Dreams / Tough! (ENSEMBLE Canadian Youth Theatre) The plays by Wajdi Mouawad and George F. Walker are performed in repertory. DREAMS (RĂªves) poetically explores the complexities of loss, loneliness and the hidden anger that ensues from a war-torn childhood. Aug 9, 11, 13, 15-20 at 9 pm. All the Things I’ve Lost. UnSpun Theatre & The Make It Real Project present an art exhibit and performance piece by Shira Leuchter. Leuchter revisits significant objects that have been lost throughout her life alongside her mother, a ceramist, who will reinvent, recreate and honour the lost childhood objects by re-making them out of clay. Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare (Dauntless City Theatre Company). The darkly comedic masterpiece of mistaken identities and misplaced love is performed outdoors. Opens Aug 6 and runs to Aug 28, Sat & Sun 1 pm (no show Aug 14). Pwyc, $10 suggested donation. Show Info.
