Crow Theatre’s I, Claudia extended to May 30

If you haven’t yet seen I, Claudia this may be your lucky day.  The run at the Young Centre for Performing Arts has been extended by a week and now closes May 30, 2009.

Mooney on Theatre gave I, Claudia a rave review, and we weren’t the only ones.  Check out the list of reviews below:

The Toronto Star – Richard Ouzounian gave it 4 out of 4 stars “Blissfully funny, unexpectedly touching, I, Claudia is a must-see.”

The Globe and Mail – Kelly Nestruck gave it 4 out of 4 stars “Since Kristen Thomson debuted her one-woman mask play I, Claudia to four-star reviews eight years ago (including one from The Globe and Mail), it has rarely been off the boards.”  – Of course, to read the whole article you’ll have to pay (again I say, annoying as bleep)

NOW Toronto – Glenn Sumi gave it 5 out of 5 Ns “for 75 glorious minutes, we truly believe we’re sitting in a damp school basement watching lives change forever. “

EYE Weekly – Byron Laviolette gave it 5 out of 5 stars “Not only is it engaging to witness a performer work their ass off, but I, Claudia is worth the hype (and the awards) that surround it.”

and of course…

Mooney on Theatre – Kathy Morgan tells us to: “Purchase as many tickets as you can, and then force all of you friends to do the same.  Then pick up random people off the street and drag them to the show along with you.  Suffice it to say, this show was amazing.  Unbelievable.  Spectacular.  Heartbreaking, hi-larious, and utterly, utterly exquisite.”
