Written by Andrew Lee and Directed by Andrew Lee & Katrine Raymond

How can we forgive our fathers or our brothers for the distance that comes between us, for the closeness we can’t avoid, or for leaving us too soon? THE LAST BUFFALO is a new play that explores these questions through humour and heartfelt honesty.

Before his death, Jimmy Quinn dreamt of starring in the wrestling ring at the championship match, while his brother Charles chose the path of the hard-nosed businessman. Jimmy’s son, Jamie, stands halfway between these conflicting worlds. As they prepare for Jimmy’s wake, Charles and Jamie unravel family bonds to examine whether the relationship between the three of them has been more like a dance or a headlock.

Second place winner in the Toronto Fringe Festival’s 2009 24-hour Play Contest, THE LAST BUFFALO stars Don Berns, Alex Fiddes, and Fringe veteran Greg Dunham. In the tradition of David French and Conor McPherson, THE LAST BUFFALO is a funny and touching exploration of the relationships between fathers, sons and brothers.
