Toronto, Ontario: Good Egg and Triple Take Productions team up to return to the Toronto Fringe Festival this season, doing what they do best – comedy!
Opening on Thursday July 1st and running select dates through Saturday July 10th 2010 at the Factory Theatre Mainspace, The Aquarium is a hilarious look
at ‘inter-apartmental’ urban life.

Jeanette, a lapsed writer, is cursed – she’s surrounded by farce.  After her roommates kick her out, she moves into “The Aquarium” with Alex and George.
Both fall for Jeanette, but Jeanette only has eyes for Alex. Using a wealth of comedic forms – from sight gag to slapstick – this stellar cast explore curses,
love triangles, and the questionable upstairs neighbor through a subject dear to any city dweller – sharing an apartment

Director Regan Macaulay (It Was Kit – 2006 Best of Fringe, Shakespeare’s Brain – New Ideas Festival) says, “The characters and title of The Aquarium are
inspired by some pets I previously owned. My husband and I always enjoyed watching the antics of our pet frogs and fish – their quirks translated into George,
Jeanette, Bob and Alex. The play has the feel of a sitcom, which suits the underlying tone of the play as characters often feel “watched from above”, like they
watch their own pets through the top of their aquarium. “

The cast includes Triple Take Productions alumni Jason Reilly (It Was Kit, Shakespeare’s Brain, Paradise Lust Romance Series), Andrea Lyons (Shakespeare’s Brain),
Sandra Krstin (Paradise Lust Romance Series) and Scott Moore (It Was Kit, Last Dance of the Dark Cloaked Avenger). They are joined by Allison Price
(Second City, NOW Audience Choice  Sketch Duo ‘Haircut’), and Nate Callens (Fart Factory:  The Musical, NOW Magazine’s Critic’s Picks – 2008) Kristen Corvers
and Anthony Palmer  round out the funny-folk.
