The Four Minute Mile: Toronto 2010 Fringe Preview

From Press Release

“The only thing that will stop you from having what you want once you have it, is you.”

Theatre Symbiosis presents THE FOUR MINUTE MILE By Kevin Morris

Nobody believed it was possible to run a mile in four minutes… except Roger Bannister, the man who first achieved it fifty-six years ago. The Four Minute Mile is a touching and funny look inside the life of a motivational speaker, Len, who encourages others to believe in the possibility of their dreams, just as Roger Bannister did. Len has always aspired to greatness, but when he achieves all of his own life, love and career goals he discovers that what drives us isn’t always what makes us happy. In a culture of self-help books, seminars and multi-million dollar celebrity motivational speakers, what happens if we get what we want, only to discover we don’t really want it? Originally developed as part of the Pivotal Arts Write Now! Festival, The Four Minute Milepremiered as a workshop production in March 2010. An exciting updated version will premiere at the Toronto Fringe Festival.
