ZACK ADAMS – A Complete History Of Zack Adams
Written and performed by Shane Adamczak
Nominated – BEST LOCAL COMEDY – FRINGE WORLDFESTIVAL 2012
Nominated – JUST FOR LAUGHS award MONTREAL FRINGE 2012

After charming the pants of audiences in Australia and Canada in 2011 with ZACK ADAMS: LOVE SONGS FOR FUTURE GIRL (“✭✭✭✭” -CBC “✭✭✭✭”- UPTOWN “✭✭✭✭”-TIMES COLONIST, Nominated for the JUST FOR LAUGHS AWARD for BEST COMEDY – Montreal Fringe 2011); Australia’s own Zack Adams returns to where it all began in A COMPLETE HISTORY OF ZACK ADAMS.

Ever since he first appeared in the year two Nativity play, Zack knew he was destined for great things. A COMPLETE HISTORY OF ZACK ADAMS is a comedic coming-of-age story about an Australian actor’s quest for superstardom and his slow rise to mediocrity as he slowly learns that becoming a super-famous actor is actually going to be really hard work

“The project was created chiefly as a theatrical experiment in solo performance, focusing on the parallels in the creative process and performance between the actor, the storyteller and the comedian; attempting to explore the similarities between art forms and devising a piece which fell into some sort of middle ground between them.” – Writer/Performer Shane Adamczak

This show is presented by Weeping Spoon Productions, a Perth-based international award-winning independent production house. Weeping Spoon is the company behind the hit shows GREED, Deathtrap, ZACK ADAMS: LOVE SONGS FOR FUTURE GIRL and The Adventures Of Alvin Sputnik.  Shane Adamczak/Weeping Spoon also produced two sell-out seasons of the highly successful revival of Checkout-The Musical in 2012.  “A pleasure to watch, with great timing, charming ideas and most impressive, a truly transformative physicality… If you don’t like this show, then I 100% guarantee you are a humorless philistine “

-Theatre Australia

“The strength of his humour lies in his ability to poke fun at the image he has created for himself, and by doing so he also is poking fun at the notion of the cult of celebrity and the lengths people will go, to attain fame. It’s also a somewhat inspirational tale, a show that has you leaving uplifted and ready to tackle what the world has to throw at you.” -The[AU]Review
