If you had a theme song, what would it be? I’m sure many of you have thought about it before, or have at least thought about what life would be like if it had a soundtrack. Or if it were a musical. This week’s cheap theatre picks are a great way to live the dream without the potential embarrassment of breaking out into song on the TTC.

The Beaver Den: A New Canadian Musical by Taylor Abrahamse, Jaclyn Enchin and Jennifer Enchin (Jazz Squared Theatre Company). A cast of young Canadian actors are stuck on an outdated kid’s show filmed in Northern Ontario. Opens Oct 10 and runs to Oct 14. $18. Miss Caledonia by Melody A Johnson (Lunkamud/Tarragon Theatre). A 1950s farm girl dreams of being an actress in the big city in this musical solo show. Previews Oct 13-23.
