Festivals, fundraisers and tournaments, oh my! The warm weather has struck and so starts the exciting part of the theatre season. There are pockets of thespian action blooming all over the city, so why not splurge on a festival pass and enjoy some. Or take is slow, one show at a time. (P.S. It’s great prep for the Fringe festival…)

rock.paper.sistahz: A Festival Dating Experience… (bcurrent). This arts festival features theatre, film, comedy, spoken word, visual art and more by Camille Turner, ahdri zhina mandiela, Catherine Hernandez and others. Opens May 25 and runs to May 31. SoulOTheatre Festival (SoulOTheatre). This festival of one-person shows features performances by Chris Gibbs, Precious Chong, Daniel Stolfi and others, plus panels and workshops.
