“Reality is just a playground for your dreams.” TWISTED BEATS & CIRCUS FEATS

A breathtaking fusion of clowning, aerial hoop, juggling, contortion, storytelling, hip-hop, puppetry and general ridiculousness that addresses the simple questions in life: Are we happy with what we have? And if not, could we possible be taking certain things for granted?

Growing up with a love for the spoken word and rhyme artistry, writer/creator Jesse Horne stumbled upon the world of clowning in his early twenties and immediately fell in love. After years of juggling these two passions, he had an epiphany: why not combine the two?
In 2010 he met his partner, aerialist/contortionist Simone Lazar, and soon after Circadelix was born. Circadelix’s Twisted Beats & Circus Feats tells a uniquely heartfelt tale through the eyes of a slightly deranged clown who, in his quest to become a hip-hop superstar, falls in love with a wind-up ballerina.

Jesse Horne and Simone Lazar met in 2010 at Circus Center San Francisco, where they were studying in the Clown Conservatory and Professional Aerial Program respectively. Being polar opposites in many ways, they soon realized they made a unique duo both on and off the stage. Jesse, with his background in street theater, clowning and improvisation, and Simone, with her classical ballet, aerial and contortion training, came together to form Circadelix.
