Come be a part of the 25th Anniversary of Toronto’s largest theatre festival!

From press release:

To celebrate 25 years of unforgettable theatre, the Toronto Fringe Festival is throwing its biggest festival ever, and show tickets are on sale now! Only 50% of tickets are available in advance – so book early to avoid disappointment!

Join us July 3rd at 4:30pm in our expanded Fringe Club at 581 Bloor Street West for the opening ceremonies and poster sprint followed by a free concert from Polaris-nominated Hooded Fang!  Throughout the festival, the Fringe Club will be packed with programming: the Visual Fringe art market, the always innovative AlleyPlays, the energetic discussions of the Tent Talks industry series, and performances from buskers and bands. Stick around at night for our new Fringe After Dark series, with ghost stories, Truth or Dare, Adult Craft Night, and more!

Special anniversary programming invites you to celebrate our 25 years.  Party like it’s 1989 with an Underground Dance Party on Saturday July 6th in the parking lot below Honest Ed’s. On Thursday, July 11th take a trip down memory lane with the 25th Anniversary Alumni Party at the Tranzac Club. Our Cell Phone Scavenger Hunt on Speed in an interactive scavenger hunt that features Fringe trivia , creative missions and location-based puzzles. Up to 25 teams will vie for the $350 prize!

We’ll also be doing what Fringe has been doing best for a quarter-century: presenting tons of amazing indie theatre! This year there are 148 shows, spanning 35 venues in every imaginable genre and discipline to choose from. Don’t miss 20 site-specific performances in venues like bars, back alleys, churches, a coin laundry, and even The Campbell House Museum! And of course, FringeKids! shows are on stage each day at the Palmerston Library, for the young and young-at-heart.

The Toronto Fringe Festival is proud to have always been a place for everyone, onstage and off. The Fringe embraces the first-timer and the Dora Award-winner alike, and this year is no different! Bring us your uninitiated, your hardcore theatre-goers, your friends and family, young and old, and they will find an experience to remember at what is sure to be our most exciting Fringe to date!
