Hazards

From press release:

Inspired by the warning signs we encounter every day, HAZARDS dives into the chaotic soup of our minds, exposing our worries, from the personal to the universal, and our deep-seated fear of humiliation if we are “found out.” A performance piece in the absurdist tradition, HAZARDS combines spoken word with sometimes-frenetic, sometimes-beseeching movement, bringing us face-to-face with the question of our own significance in the universe. And the answer is: YES!

This piece plays at the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse. Performances: July 05 05:15 PM, July 06 07:30 PM, July 07 09:00 PM, July 09 03:00 PM, July 10 09:15 PM, July 11 12:15 PM, July 13 11:00 PM

Inge Snapshots

From press release:

Can coming to terms with the past bring hope for the future? Welcome to INGE SNAPSHOTS: MID-AMERICA MID-CENTURY. Playwright William Inge explored the same ground in two different versions of the same story – one a youthful reunion set against the optimism of early 1950’s America, and one through a more mature lens, set against the burgeoning change of the late 1950’s. INGE SNAPSHOTS offers an elegiac portrait of small town life, the fullness of first love and its aftermath. Presenting both plays with the same acting company, in a twist on the old model of repertory theatre, The Remnants ask the question: How does a reunion change when a pair of lovers reunite later in their lives? How does time affect feelings of loss and regret?

This piece plays at the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse. Performances: July 03 06:30 PM, July 05 08:45 PM, July 07 01:30 PM, July 10 11:00 PM, July 11 07:45 PM, July 12 01:45 PM, July 13 12:00 PM

DABDA

From press release:

DABDA invites you to join these young people on an evening they will never forget. The seven friends escape a posh family Fourth of July ball – and a promise to keep an eye on a little sister – to attend an impromptu underground beach soiree, strictly for teenagers only. The night that follows is filled with innocence and temptation, inhibitions, independence, and love. Ira and her friends push their limits in hopes of discovering freedom. But the plot thickens as they begin to understand the consequences of their actions the morning after Independence Day, and find out there is more to learn about growing up than just being free…

This piece plays at Factory Theatre Mainspace. Performances: July 05 10:30 PM, July 06 09:15 PM, July 07 08:45 PM, July 09 01:15 PM, July 10 12:00 PM, July 12 11:00 PM, July 14 03:30 PM
