Excerpt from press release:

Shakespeare Crackpot debuted at 2014 Montreal Fringe Festival to multiple rave reviews. Keir Cutler’s (Teaching Shakespeare, Teaching Hamlet) ninth theatrical monologue and his fourth consecutive directed by “Fringe God” TJ Dawe. This is Keir’s tenth appearance at the Toronto Fringe Festival. He has appeared at more than 70 fringe festivals since 1999.

Keir takes a comic look back at his fifteen years of being a Shakespeare doubter. Ranting on Shakespeare, crackpot conspiracy theories, and miseducation, Shakespeare Crackpot is part lecture, part autobiographical monologue that “delightfully mocks all those professors who stank up our academic lives.” The Rover, (Montreal)

More from the critics at the Montreal Fringe in 2014 on Shakespeare Crackpot,

“Cutler’s biting criticism of the world of academia is insightfully hilarious.” onstageottawa.com

“Cutler delivers an eye-opening, passionate performance in this self-confessional, documentary-style show. Literary conspiracy has never been so entertaining as what’s offered in “Shakespeare Crackpot.” The Montreal Times

“ . . . an amazing lesson: shouldn’t we all think for ourselves?” Charlebois Post.

“Highly recommended!” bloodyunderated.com
