Harlem Duet. Tarragon Theatre. by Djanet Sears (Tarragon Theatre). A Harlem college professor leaves his grad student wife for a white colleague in this modern riff on Othello. Previews from Sep 18, opens Sep 26 and runs to Oct 28, Tue-Sat 8 pm, mat Sun 2:30 pm (and Sep 29, Oct 6 &13). Show Info.

Legends of Horror. Casa Loma. An immersive theatrical interpretation of all of the classic horror figures. This one hour, 2 km self-guided walking tour commences in the lower gardens of Casa Loma and winds its way through the castle’s tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public.  This year’s newest addition is the Vampire Circus. Oraltorio: A Theatrical Mixtape. Young Centre for the Performing Arts. by Motion (Obsidian Theatre Company/Soulpepper). Part poetry slam, part house party, this coming-of age-story traces the journey of two North-Toronto girls grappling with womanhood and identity. Noor. Aga Khan Museum. The Aga Khan Museum presents Noor, a modern day coming-of-age story of loss, love and the power of poetry staged inside the Aga Khan Museum’s Mongolian yurt. Fall for Dance North. Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Fall for Dance North (FFDN) presents an eclectic and acclaimed lineup of world-class companies and artists, including La Otra Orilla, Soweto Skeleton Movers, Introdans, Ballet Kelowna and others. Shady Queens 3. Danforth Music Hall. Shady Queens returns to the Danforth Music Hall on Oct 4 in support of Fife House and people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto. Worldly Women. Dancemakers. Dance Fachin by Emma Bartolomucci presents a dance work about a nomadic woman who encounters new experiences and new people. Oct 4 at 8 pm. $20. Show Info.

Battleground. Fleck Dance Theatre. Harbourfront Centre’s TORQUE series presents a solo and a duet by contemporary dance icon Louise Lecavalier inspired by two Italo Calvino characters. Oct 5-6 at 7:30 pm. $28-$45. Show Info.

White Elephant. The Collective Space. White Elephant is a 60-minute, multidisciplinary, immersive dance installation. The performance space is covered with bubble wrap and strategically placed microphones and accompanying speakers to augment the movements of the five dancers. The Nether. Coal Mine Theatre. Coal Mine Theatre and studio180theatre present a play by Jennifer Haley. In the virtual world of the Nether, guests can log in, assume an identity and indulge their darkest desires.
