Megan loves being in the thick of all things theatre, but her ultimate goal is to promote theatre to the world of non-theatre people. It was the same when she was the theatre writer for blogTO, or the Fringe Correspondent for CBC Radio One‘s Here and Now, as it is as the founder of Mooney on Theatre. Her basic belief is that there is theatre/performance out there for everyone to love, they just need to find it. This is not to be confused with the idea that everyone should love theatre for theatre’s sake, in fact, as obsessed as she is with theatre, even *she* doesn’t love all types of theatre.

Winner for the Free Tickets to Toronto Theatre Contest for Oct 28

Unfortunately this week’s contest for Turn of the Screw tickets wasn’t able to go forward as planned.  But, Second City saved the day by offering up two tickets to their show Show Us Your Tweets instead.

Also fortunate, Nicole, the winner of this week’s contest, was very gracious about the whole thing, and is happy to be going to Second City tomorrow evening.

So, a hearty thanks go out to Second City for being such a great sport and so accommodating!

For more information on Show Us Your Tweets, see the press release below:

Described as a Gay Rap Opera, or a Hiphopera, it’s something you probably haven’t seen before.  In fact, in the introduction by two hip hop performers – FEMINEM & T-BAG – there’s a nod to the obvious “but they’re gay, and they’re white!”  Two things that one  generally doesn’t associate with hip hop.
