PICK OF THE FRINGE!

(Toronto, ON -May 7, 2010) PICK OF THE FRINGE! is a comedy revue written and performed by Second City alumnae Ashley Botting, Karen Parker, and Leslie Seiler.  It makes its debut at this year’s Toronto Fringe Festival, at The Factory Studio Theatre.

PICK OF THE FRINGE! is a sketch revue with a big mouth.  These ladies have crafted a show about women, men, and the absurdity of everything that comes between them.  A fast-paced, hilarious mix of sketch and song will explore the characters, institutions, and oddities that make life deliciously ridiculous. This show lives up to its shameless title: It’s funny, sardonic, and mildly inappropriate.

The cast and crew of PICK OF THE FRINGE! are Toronto comedy veterans. Ashley Botting, Karen Parker and Leslie Seiler are all Dora-nominated writers, and Canadian Comedy Award winners.  They met while honing their writing and performing skills at Toronto’s legendary Second City Mainstage.   Director Paul Constable is also an alumnus of The Second City, and directed the 2008 Fringe smash-hit Nursery School Musical.

With PICK OF THE FRINGE!, three women have created a must-see show with a cocky title and a ton of balls.
