Peter ‘n Chris present the Mystery of the Hungry Heart Motel
Critcally Acclaimed Canadian Comedy duo Peter n’ Chris get mysterious in Hardy Boys Sendup

Peter ‘n Chris are a Vancouver comedy duo that create hilarious theatre unlike any other comedy duo; paying homage to movies and sending everyday life up to absurd heights. These two fringe festival favourites are skilled practitioners in the fine art of physical comedy; breaking open comic conventions with highly physical sketches and finding ingenious ways of pushing comedic theatre to its limits.

Peter ‘n Chris have toured internationally for the last 4 years; Playing in cities such as Chicago, Seattle, Grand Rapids Michigan gaining rave reviews and performing to sold out houses. They have performed on the Second City mainstage in Toronto, after earning Audience Choice Award at the 2011 Toronto International Sketch comedy Festival. They have been nominated for a Just For Laughs- Best Comedy award in the Montreal Fringe, won Pick of the Fringe in the Vancouver Fringe, earned “Outstanding Production” and “Critic’s pick” in the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival by Now Magazine, and won consecutive “Best Duo Performance” awards in the 2010 and 2011 Ottawa Fringe Festivals.

Now they’re back with a brand new show; and this time it’s spookier than ever! Peter ‘n Chris and the Mystery of the Hungry Heart Motel is a send up of ‘whodunnit’ detective series such as The Hardy Boys, and slasher flicks and horror classics like The Shinning. Who is committing the murders at the Hungry Heart Motel? The answer is the motel manager. Maybe you think
we just ruined the mystery; well, we did a bit. But maybe the real mystery is what Peter ‘n Chris will learn about themselves when they check in? And will they even check out? Well, that’s a mystery too.

Point of interest: The third instalment of Peter n Chris was first written as 15 minute piece in Monster Theatre’s, Theatre Under the Gun festival. It was written and performed in under 48 hours. It has now been expanded into the 60 minute piece it is today.
