An Ode To Dyads is a compact dance theatre piece performed by Hannah Kaya and Connor Spencer at Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace at the 2014 Toronto Fringe Festival. The performance explores the dyadic relationship between two beings in a strange world where the passage of time and emotional shifts are dictated by a single ring of a kitchen timer. This is a world with its own specific logic that may not make sense immediately to the audience but is very clear for the onstage duo. About Allegra (Come From Away Productions) 2014 Toronto Fringe Review
About Allegra is the story of an affair, an affair between a married mom and the young, attractive student taking residence in her basement. Sound like The Graduate? Yes, yes it does.
This sexually charged cat and mouse story of seduction is playing at this year’s Toronto Fringe Festival and it’ll surely get the temperatures rising, but unfortunately it also left me wanting more.
Blair (played by Simu Liu) is the student that moves into Allegra’s (Megan MacDonald) basement. Julius Caesar Project (Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective) 2014 Toronto Fringe Review
Wow. I am absolutely awestruck by the unflinching intensity of the Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective’s brilliant adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar the Julius Caesar Project now playing at the Toronto Fringe Festival.

The plot involves three people caught up in the nasty consequences of their bad lifestyle choices. Continue reading RED BILL (Red Bill Productions) 2014 Toronto Fringe Review

But this afternoon I watched GUNSHOT (ReActive Dance Theatre) which is currently playing as part of the Toronto Fringe Festival. I learned two things from watching this show: 1. I’m extremely out of shape and 2. Dance Theatre is much more captivating than I thought.
