From Press Release
Toy Box Productions is proud to present a comedy variety show in the Toronto Fringe Festival this summer about childhood dreams and grown-up reveries:
”When I Grow Up: A Personal Narrative”
Is it too late to dream about what we want to be when we grow up? Hope not! Are we getting too old to have a lemonade stand, make music, fly, rock and play our hearts out?
No way!
Comedy duo, Lesley Carlberg and Barbara Jensen surrender to you their aspirations from childhood and their grown-up daydreams. Come share vignettes of their soul in a wonderful show of clown, improv, stand-up, singing & dancing. It’s a little bit vampy, campy and a little bit rock’n’roll.
Can WE still have dreams? Chah!
Written & performed by Lesley Carlberg & Barbara Jensen, “When I Grow Up: A
Personal Narrative” is Toy Box’s third production in the Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival
behind two children’s musicals. This is their first “For Grown-Ups Only” show.
