YPT TO ONCE AGAIN PROVIDE FUN, EDUCATIONAL CHILDCARE OPTION FOR ETFO DAY OF PROTEST, FRIDAY, JANUARY 11TH

Toronto (January 9th, 2013) – The Pop-up Drama School Workshops arranged by Young People’s Theatre last month to help parents cope with TDSB strike action were hugely popular and sold out very quickly.

YPT is pleased to once again offer this option to Toronto families who may be scrambling to arrange last-minute child care for the Friday, January 11th Day of Protest just announced by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.

TORONTO (January 8th, 2013) – Crow’s Theatre is thrilled to announce the launch of its new performing arts facility and community hub.  This exciting news coincides with its 30th anniversary year as one of the country’s most acclaimed and award-winning independent theatres.

Endorsed through the City of Toronto Section 37 Planning Act as approved by City Council on October 30, 2012, Crow’s Theatre will be the first professional performing arts facility of its kind east of the Don Valley Parkway, an area that is home to over 1.3 million people. Preview: Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Breathe.Feel.Love)

Seth Drabinsky, sitting over a coffee at the 519’s Fabarnak, doesn’t strike an especially impressive figure. He seems like any other guy, cheerful and friendly but not really fabulous in any regard – until the subject of Hedwig comes up. After dozens upon dozens of performances over four separate runs as the tragic trans tagalong to Tommy Gnosis’s star, I half suspect Drabinsky of having a crush on Hedwig.
