Fringe for Free! Toronto Fringe Ticket Giveaways for Shows on Tuesday, July 5th!

fringe-for-free-graphicWe’re nearly at the halfway point of the festival. Has your schedule changed? Have you heard through the grapevine about that one show whose title you never gave a second look, only to hear it’s now the hit of the season? Are you frantically trying to arrange your schedule around all the quality theatre you’ve been hearing tell about, and pointedly ignoring your bank account balance? (Is that just me?)

Well, we’re here as usual to make things a little easier for you with free tickets to five Fringe shows playing on Tuesday. We’re giving out tickets to five shows for every day of the festival, so be sure to check back every day! In the meantime, click “Read More” for the contest rules, times and descriptions of the 5 incredible shows we’ve got lined up for Tuesday, July 5th!

Contest Rules

To enter, send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com. Please put the show’s title in the subject line, and ensure we have your full name in the body. (We promise that your email address will not be used for any other purpose: it will not be added to any mailing lists, sold to third parties, or anything like that.)

  • Each email counts as a single entry. If you want to enter all 5 contests, you must send 5 emails.
  • Tickets are non-transferable and are only for the date and time indicated below. Tickets may not be exchanged. Please ensure you can attend the performance listed.
  • All entries must be received by 7 PM on the day before the performance. The drawing will be held shortly after closing, and winners will be informed immediately. Winners are required to confirm their attendance by 10 AM on the morning of the performance.
  • Tickets will be held in your name at the venue box office, available 1 hour before the performance. Tickets will only be held until 15 minutes before curtain: any comps left unclaimed at that juncture may be sold.

In spited by Luis Buñuel’s surrealist film of the same name, EXTERMINATING ANGEL is an intensely physical and theatrical contemporary dance work. When a group of dinner guests find themselves psychologically trapped, the pomp and formality of their social event dissolves into hostility and hysteria.

From prim to primal, EXTERMINATING ANGEL explores high stakes, animal instinct, and humanity stripped of all social pretence.

House of Vinyl

When Horton, an agoraphobe, is forced out of his apartment because of a gas leak, he embarks on a strange and hallucinogenic journey involving lawyer-knights, psychic stingrays, a diaper fetishist, and yards and yards of vinyl. Will he ever make it back to his apartment and safety? Or will he be trapped in the House of Vinyl forever?

In WW2, young Carlo Scorsini was a Partisan fighter in Italy. By 1950 he was on his way to Canada determined to start a new life. Years later, his son Elio purchases the family’s abandoned farm only to learn of the tragic events that befell his grandfather and aunt’s family. Despite his Italian heritage, could he ever feel at home in the new, modern Italy?

In Gods We Trust

The Gods of Ancient Greece didn’t just fade away – they relocated!The Olympians have been hanging out in the New World after emigrating in hopes of staging a glorious comeback. But the bizarre circus that is the 2016 Presidential Election is causing no small amount of alarm. They convene for a “Special Emergency Meeting Of The Gods,” charged to impose a divine decision on the American mortals. Will they be able to reach a decision without unleashing an apocalypse?
