Well folks, we’re 5 days into the Toronto Fringe Festival. Mooney on Theatre has published 154 reviews so far (6 more to come today) and 32 of those are Raves. That’s a lot of rave reviews! I think we can safely say the 30th Toronto Fringe Festival is a pretty exciting one!
We’ve been featuring three of our Rave reviews each day, and today is no differet. So read on to see what we have in store for you today.
RAGE AGAINST the King, produced by Pound Ionesco Faulkner at Toronto Fringe Festival, is the third part of a trilogy being performed this year where different groups are writing around a single incident and creating unrelated stories. This is important to know because we thought that we would be lost not having seen the others. Thankfully that isn’t the case; each one has its own story and can be viewed on their own.

Staged in a loading dock behind a dormitory, the orchid beauty shop ‘s production of Rachel Ganz’s The Queen’s Eulogy is without a doubt one of the strangest plays at the 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival. An absurdist piece set in a futuristic world of garbage, there is a faint whiff of its inspiration Pygmalion amid the manic dialogue and bizarrely naïve characters as red wine simply rains down from the sky.
