Hello kitty! Theatre company Advienne que pourra put on a fantastic play Le Chat botté/Puss in Boots at the Théâtre français de Toronto. Cheap Theatre in Toronto for the Week of December 9th, 2014

Fine, fine. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – whether or not the weather is particularly snowy, lots and lots of Christmas themed shows are on. (I’m even working on one, myself!). So maybe, until the snow (and endless stream of Christmas music on the radio) makes you feel the holiday spirit, you can get there by seeing some Cheap Theatre – all shows are available for $22.50 or less!

Set in a post apocalyptic environment where the Illuminati strives to gain ultimate control over society, we’re given an intriguing perspective on Shakespeare’s tale of a brave general and his wife who are driven to murder and madness by greed and ambition. Toronto’s Bad Dog Theatre Company serves up raunchy “quick and dirty laughs” just in time for the holidays

ThePageantWith the holidays just around the corner, it’s really quite fitting that the Bad Dog Theatre Company’s latest production is all about the frenzy often associated with Christmas celebrations. The Pageant – A Very Special Holiday Episode of a Totally Improvised Sitcom – opened Friday to a packed house.

And like the other plays I’ve seen from this company, viewer discretion is strongly advised.
